The Industry Enters a Compliance and Green Upgrade Cycle, with Policies Forcing High-Quality Development

At present, the magnetic application equipment industry is shifting from scale expansion to high-quality development characterized by compliance, greenization, and intelligence. Policy guidance and market demand are jointly promoting the industry transformation. At the domestic policy level, a number of policies are continuously tightening: three ministries including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly implemented the "Measures for the Traceability Management of Rare Earth Products", requiring rare earth mining and smelting separation enterprises to establish a full-process data tracking system to realize "one item, one code" traceability from mines to magnetic materials, forcing the standardization of the supply chain; the "Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors" jointly issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation came into effect on January 1, 2026, clarifying the energy efficiency requirements for industrial permanent magnet synchronous motors and guiding the market to choose high-efficiency and energy-saving products. At the same time, policies such as rare earth control, environmental protection standards upgrading, and dual energy consumption control are promoting the industry to eliminate backward production capacity and standardize production processes. At the product level, energy conservation and greenization have become core indicators. High-efficiency magnetic circuit design, low-loss magnetic materials, and energy-saving control systems are widely used, significantly reducing equipment energy consumption. The industrialization of waste magnet recycling and rare earth regeneration technologies is accelerating, helping the industry reduce resource dependence and achieve circular development. Application scenarios are continuously expanding; in addition to traditional industrial fields, penetration in emerging fields such as humanoid robots, low-altitude economic aircraft, 6G communication base stations, medical care, and logistics is deepening, driving products to upgrade towards miniaturization, lightweight, high precision, and high reliability, and the industry concentration is continuously improving.
