Single-stage traditional permanent magnet equipment cannot remove weak magnetic gangue, resulting in excessive iron content in quartz sand. The produced photovoltaic cover glass suffers air bubbles and low light transmittance, failing supply standards for leading domestic photovoltaic module manufacturers.
Two-stage complete high-precision magnetic separation equipment is deployed on the production line. Heavy-duty permanent magnetic drum separators are installed above belt conveyors to remove large iron-bearing ore blocks and steel scraps falling off crushing equipment in advance. Air-cooled dry powder electromagnetic separators are equipped on pipelines before grinding, with variable-frequency uniform feeding and gradient magnetic fields to deeply remove ultra-fine weak magnetic iron impurities. The thickened wear-resistant anti-corrosion housing adapts to all-weather high-dust mining conditions, and magnetic attenuation of the magnetic system is lower than 2% after long-term operation.
After commissioning, iron content of quartz sand is reduced to less than 0.05%, and whiteness rises from 88.5 to 94.2, fully meeting raw material standards for photovoltaic ultra-white glass. Each complete set of equipment processes 1,100 tons of dry quartz ore per day, with iron removal efficiency 66% higher than traditional equipment. The mining area plans to match the same magnetic separation units for 3 newly expanded dry production lines.
