Combined High-precision Magnetic & Eddy Current Separation Equipment Boosts Non-ferrous Metal Recovery Rate to 99.7% for

a municipal construction waste recycling base in Madrid, Spain completed the upgrading of crushing and sorting lines. Demolition muck is mixed with steel bars, iron nails, aluminum and copper pipelines. Single permanent magnetic drums can only separate ferromagnetic materials, while tiny aluminum and copper scraps are landfilled with tailings, failing the mandatory metal recovery indicators of EU 2026 Circular Economy Regulations and disqualifying the enterprise from environmental subsidies.
The complete high-precision sorting system adopts two-stage front-rear configuration. Wide-belt heavy-duty permanent magnetic drums at the first stage capture all ferrous sundries above 0.3mm without blind sorting zones thanks to uniform magnetic field distribution. Concentric high-frequency eddy current separators at the second stage accurately separate tiny non-ferrous conductive metals. Precisely calibrated magnetic systems minimize material sorting errors, and the modular detachable design fits multi-shift continuous crushing operations. The whole machine is dustproof and waterproof for open-air outdoor plant use.
After renovation, the recovery rate of ferrous metals from construction waste reaches 99.95%, and the recovery rate of aluminum, copper, brass and other non-ferrous metals hits 99.7%. An extra 135 tons of valuable metals can be recycled every month, generating additional annual metal sales revenue of 320,000 Euros. The project successfully passed EU solid waste recycling qualification audit and became a benchmark for construction waste resource recovery in Southern Europe.
